The socio-cultural act of eating together, its preparation and conscious experience becomes an artistic task for Sandra Knecht (*1968). Her practice focusing on food and nutrition is an elaborate strategy to discuss the normative rules of traditions and cultures, and the social values connected to it. With this approach Sandra Knecht worked on the context of the Istrian peninsula. The artist undertook largescale research at the farmers’ markets of Pula and Labin to learn about traditional products and produce. This results in a three-course menu cooked and served in local restaurants – in Labin at Peteani and in Pula at Amfiteatar. The dishes will be part of the restaurants’ food list during the 4th Industrial Art Biennial and will be inscribed in the landscapes through everyday but essential activities such as enjoying, eating and digesting.

Društveno-kulturni čin zajedničkog blagovanja, njegova priprema i svjesno iskustvo postaje umjetnički zadatak za Sandru Knecht (*1968.). Njezina umjetnička praksa usmjerena na hranu i prehranu razrađena je strategija za raspravu o normativnim pravilima tradicije i kulture, te društvenih vrijednosti povezanih s tim. Tim je pristupom Sandra Knecht obradila kontekst istarskog poluotoka. Umjetnik je proveo veliko istraživanje na pulskim i labinskim tržnicama kako bi upoznao tradicijske proizvode i proizvodnju. To je rezultiralo jelovnikom od tri slijeda, koji se kuha i poslužuje u lokalnim restoranima – u Labinu u Hotelu Peteani I u Puli u Amfiteatru. Jela će biti na meniju oba restorana tijekom 4. Bijenala industrijske umjetnosti, i na taj način bit upisana u krajobraz kroz svakodnevne, ali bitne aktivnosti kao što su uživanje, jedenje i probava.
